- Extra Activities - Just in case you wanted any ;)

Hi Red Class Parents,

Below are a selection of additional activities you can do with your children, if you wish. They are purely to help on those times when you run out of ideas, there is no obligation to complete them.

Harold the Giraffes Daily Diary
Follow what Harold is up to whilst he is not at school. This is produced by Coram Life Education who make one of the PSHCE curriculums we use at school, SCARF.

Oxford Owl - Read Write Inc. Phonics
Oxford Owl's scheme, Read Write Inc. Phonics, teaches the sounds and words in a different order to the way we have learnt them (through Letters and Sounds), however this is still a good resources to use to support children's learning and revision.

Children should be able to complete 'Learning Set 1' and most of 'Learning Set 2' and some of 'Learning Set 3'. If you are unsure of the sounds your child has learnt, please refer to the Sound mats provided in your Home Learning Folder. If the children learn a few extra sounds or words that are not in Phase 1, 2, 3 or 4, we don't mind! 😆

Listen to free stories with the children. Either Littlest Listeners or Elementary are most appropriate, although please check reviews of Elementary books as this goes up to Yr 6 and may not be appropriate for younger listeners.
