Good Morning Red Class! 😃


Welcome to your first day of home learning. I am looking forward to seeing you ready for school on Zoom! 

Below are your learning activities for the day.

Learning Activities

Parents - I know you all have your own jobs to do, let alone help me with mine, so please do what is right for your family and well-being. If you manage to have a go at the activities, that's brilliant. If you don't, do not worry. It would be lovely to see your children for the zoom sharing and story sessions so they feel part of the class, but again, just do what is manageable. 

Please don't hesitate to contact me via the new 'classr@' email. I am more than happy to answer any questions. I would also love to see anything that your children get up to, whatever it is!

Virtual Sports Day

Dear Parents, Normally at the end of the year, we would spend a day all together out on the field, taking part in our School Sports Day. We may not be able to do that this year, but it doesn't mean we can't have some sports day fun. Instead, this year we will be having a Virtual Sports Day. There are 5 challenges for you to complete to win house points for your house. For all the details, please click here . The competition starts now!  You have until Wednesday 16th July to get your scores in. Buenos Dias Red Class 🐳 Wow! How is it Thursday already? It's nearly the weekend already! Today I thought I'd add a link to a storyteller so that you can enjoy a story at the end of the day, just like we would do in Red Class. These are 'Stories by Nick' ; new stories are released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2pm, but there are loads already available for you to listen to. Here are today's suggested activities: Thursday 7th May I hope you enjoyed being a Scientist again today, and don't forget to put your photos onto ILD so I can see what you have been up to! Hi Red Class Parents, Below are a selection of additional activities you can do with your children, if you wish. They are purely to help on those times when you run out of ideas, there is no obligation to complete them. Harold the Giraffes Daily Diary Follow what Harold is up to whilst he is not at school. This is produced by Coram Life Education who make one of the PSHCE curriculums we use at school, SCARF. Oxford Owl - Read Write Inc. Phonics Oxford Owl's scheme, Read Write Inc. Phonics, teaches the sounds and words in a different order to the way we have learnt them (through Letters and Sounds), however this is still a good resources to use to support children's learning and revision.  Children should be able to complete 'Learning Set 1' and most of 'Learning Set 2' and some of 'Learning Set 3'.
